Limitation period
22(1)Except if it is expressly declared in another Act that it operates despite this Act and subject to section 15, an action, including an action to which section 6 applies, shall not be brought under this Act after the earlier of
(a)
two years from the day on which the person bringing the action first knew or ought reasonably to have known that the wrongful act, neglect or default of the tortfeasor caused the death or contributed to the cause of death of the deceased, and
(b)
five years from the day of the death of the deceased.
22(2)This section has effect despite any contract.
